Gymnastics Tryouts Info

Winter season is almost here! All girls interested in the Northwest High School Gymnastics team, there is a signup sheet in the Athletic Office. Tryouts will be Monday, October 29th and Tuesday, October 30th at the Northwest Elementary Gym from 4:30-6:30pm. Please wear running clothes for outside AND inside, and bring tennis shoes. Girls Basketball Tryouts

High School Girls Basketball Try-outs will begin on November 5th.  All student athletes must have an athletic physical on file with the athletic office before participating. ALL 9-12th grade girls that are interested will have try-outs from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday – Wednesday in the High School gym. Practices will begin Thursday. You must attend tryouts.

Varsity Volleyball loses to Okemos

The Varsity Volleyball team loses to Okemos 25-23, 25-9, and 25-16. They now play East Lansing on Thursday at East Lansing. This is their final regular season game of the season prior to Districts. Go Mounties.

JV Volleyball loses to Okemos

Last night the Lady MountiesJV volleyball team took on the Okemos Chieftains. The Mounties lost in two the scores of the games were 21-25 21-25. The Mounties were lead by Meghan Thiel and Mallory Hendges who both had 8 kills. Carly Jehnzen had 7 blocks, while Olivia Thomas had 25 assists.

Girls Golf finishes 5th in State

The Girls Golf team finished off one of their most successful seasons ever with a 5th place finish at the State Finals in Battle Creek. Kelsey Gough led the Mounties with a two day total of 171. Ashley Carney shot a 184, Dori Watts a 190, Kylie Gough a 198, and Allie Lefere a 219.

Varsity Football loses to Dexter 13-6

The Varsity Football team turned in a gritty effort Friday night but came up short in a 13-6 loss to Dexter. The Mounties finish the season 1-8 and 1-5 in the CAAC Gold division tied for 5th place.

Boys Soccer loses in District Finals

The Boys Soccer team lost to Mason 4-1 in the District Finals at Spring Arbor University Saturday. Bryce Hoornstra scored the only goal for the Mounties as the game was tied at halftime. Mason scored three goals in the second half. Congrats to the players and coaches fantastic season.

Girls Golf Currently 5th at State Finals

The girls golf team currently sits in 5th place at the State Finals after 1 day of the 2 day Tournament. Kelsey Gough shot a 89 followed by Dori Watts 91, Ashley Carney 93, Kylie Gough 99 and Allie Lefere 112. Their team total was 372, twenty three strokes behind the leader Grosse Ile. Northwest

JV Football finishes 7-1-1

The JV football team defeated Dexter 41-19 last night to cap a terrific 7-1-1 season. Leading the way offensively last night was Rodney Stevenson with 4 TD runs.
