The Varsity Girls Bowling team won their match last night, 29 1/2 to 1/2 against Eaton Rapids. Arianna Ockert won 1 1/2 matches and bowled a 203 game & a 202 game, Taylor Dempsey won 2 matches, Chelsea Daniels won 2 matches and bowled a 236 game, Mandy Kinsgbury won 2 matches and bowled a 209 game & a 225 game, Mikki Mathews

The Girls Gymnastics team lost to Lumen Christi Wednesday night 130.325-110.150. Carly Jehnzen led the Mounties by placing second in the All Around with a 33.8. Carly also placed 2nd in uneven bars (8.0), floor exercise (8.0) and vault (8.5). Jackson Northwest will host Cass City on Friday.

Wrestlers lose to Eaton Rapids 47-27

The wrestling team concluded their dual match season with a 47-27 loss to Eaton Rapids. Northwest’s Alonta Chapman (152) defeated Eaton Rapids’ Chris Fillwock 4-1, and Ryan Dula (119), Jake Klingamen (145), Tristan Elkins (171), Tyler Eason (189) recorded pins for the Mounties. The Varsity Girls Basketball team lost a hard fought battle with Haslett 45-41 last night. Leading the Mounties were by Emma Bearinger with 14 points. Lexi Khon and Ashley Bunker each had 11 points with Khon adding 10 rebounds and Bunker with 3 steals and 3 assists. Paige Niciporek added 5 rebounds and 1 point.

Competitive Cheer 3rd at Waverly

The Girls Competitive Cheer team placed 3rd at the CAAC Gold Division meet Wednesday night. Charlotte started the meet strong, scoring the highest first round total at 212.5. Mason finished in second, with a final score of 656.44. Jackson Northwest placed in third overall, totaling 651.62 points. They travel to Michigan Center Saturday for the MC Invitational.

The Wrestling team lost to CAAC Gold Division foe Mason Wednesday night 64-14 but come back to defeat Williamston 48-34 in the nightcap. Drew Rooney went 2-0, pinning both opponents at 135 pounds. Also undefeated for Northwest were Ryan Dula (119), and Jake Klingamen (140). They travel to Lakewood on Saturday.
