Boys Cross Country splits

The boys cross country defeated Western but lost to Mason in a tri meet at Western tonight. Ben Woodruff led the Mounties with a 4th place finish while Kory Iott and Alex Bliss finished 8th and 9th respectively. Lucas Laher finished 11th overall. A nice effort from the boys squad.

Girls Cross Country wins two more.

The girls cross country team defeated Mason and Western tonight in a tri meet at Western. Jessica Delaney led the Mounties with a 2nd place finish followed by Kaitlyn Arnold in 3rd and Taylor Roberts 4th. In addition Haley Nugent finished 8th and Kaelyn Madery finished 10th. A nice day overall for the Mounties.

JV Boys soccer ties Jackson

The JV boys soccer team tied Jackson High tonight 0-0. The JV finished the season with a record of 6-6-3.

Varsity Soccer loses to Grand Ledge

The Varsity Soccer team lost to Grand Ledge Monday night 3-0 in CAAC Cup action. They return to action Wednesday at home against Stockbridge at 5:00pm. this will be a Varsity only contest as Stockbridge does not have JV’s.

Varsity Volleyball loses to Charlotte in 4 games

The Varsity Volleyball team lost a CAAC Gold Division matchup with Charlotte on Monday 3-1. The Mounties won game 1 but were unable to hang onto the momentum in games 2-4. They return to action Wednesday at Mason in their final regular season CAAC Gold Division matchup. The JV volleyball team lost to Charlotte in

Freshman Volleyball defeats Charlotte

The freshman volleyball team beat Charlotte 25-16, 25-20. Tyriah Pryor and Maddie Perrine led the Mounties with 6 aces apiece. We are 5-0 in the conference right now!

Middle School Cross Country

The middle school cross country team competed at the largest cross country race in the nation this weekend, the Portage Invitational in Portage, Michigan.  During the day’s racing there were over 8000 runners. The boy’s team ran to a 45th place lead by Logan Frewen in a time of 10:11 for the 1.55 mile course. 

Varsity Football loses to Charlotte

On a wet and chilly homecoming night the Varsity Football team was defeated 40-0 by Charlotte. Connor Piepkow led the rushing attack with 49 yards rushing. Noah Olmsted passed for 73 yards and Drew Galloway had 4 catches for 52 yards. Tyler Onda led the defense with 8 tackles and Jake Devereaux had an interception.

Boys Tennis Defeats Grass Lake

The boys tennis team defeated Grass Lake 6-1 last night. Winning for the Mounties were singles players Adam Steger, Michael Brownlie, Brian Lewis, Tyler Carroll and in doubles Lewis Johnson/Jaison Balluff, Elliott Drake/Devon Milliman.

CAAC Champions!!!

The girls golf team are the newly crowned CAAC Gold division Champions. Ashley Carney  was Medalist with a 82, Kylie Gough shot a 87, Dori Watts a 88, and Kelsey Gough a 93 for a team total of 350. Northwest won the preseason jamboree, all CAAC dual matches, and the division tournament for a clean
