JV Boys soccer ties Jackson

The JV boys soccer team tied Jackson High tonight 0-0. The JV finished the season with a record of 6-6-3.

Varsity Soccer loses to Grand Ledge

The Varsity Soccer team lost to Grand Ledge Monday night 3-0 in CAAC Cup action. They return to action Wednesday at home against Stockbridge at 5:00pm. this will be a Varsity only contest as Stockbridge does not have JV’s.

Freshman Volleyball defeats Charlotte

The freshman volleyball team beat Charlotte 25-16, 25-20. Tyriah Pryor and Maddie Perrine led the Mounties with 6 aces apiece. We are 5-0 in the conference right now!

Middle School Cross Country

The middle school cross country team competed at the largest cross country race in the nation this weekend, the Portage Invitational in Portage, Michigan.  During the day’s racing there were over 8000 runners. The boy’s team ran to a 45th place lead by Logan Frewen in a time of 10:11 for the 1.55 mile course. 

Varsity Football loses to Charlotte

On a wet and chilly homecoming night the Varsity Football team was defeated 40-0 by Charlotte. Connor Piepkow led the rushing attack with 49 yards rushing. Noah Olmsted passed for 73 yards and Drew Galloway had 4 catches for 52 yards. Tyler Onda led the defense with 8 tackles and Jake Devereaux had an interception.

Boys Tennis Defeats Grass Lake

The boys tennis team defeated Grass Lake 6-1 last night. Winning for the Mounties were singles players Adam Steger, Michael Brownlie, Brian Lewis, Tyler Carroll and in doubles Lewis Johnson/Jaison Balluff, Elliott Drake/Devon Milliman.

The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Western 3-2 last night winning games 1, 3 and the decisive 5th game 15-13. Ashley Carney led the Mounties to a fifth-set win, recording five kills on nine attempts in the final stanza. Carney finished with 18 kills, and teammate Lexi Khon added 15 kills and three blocks. Northwest’s Caterina Guiliani, an Italian

JV Volleyball defeats Western

Tonight the Mounties JV team took on Western. They won the match by winning two close games.  Chelsea Daniels served for 11 points and had 3 aces. Michaela Taylor had 8 kills during the match.  Carly Jenzen helped out the Mounties by contributing 4 blocks.
