Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Varsity and JV Soccer sweep Fowlerville


Last night, the Varsity soccer team defeated Fowlerville 2-1. After a tough loss to Jackson High on Saturday, the team responded with great team play and improved their overall record to 9-2-4. The team controlled the game throughout and had a 2-0 lead with 3 minutes to play before Fowlerville scored. In the closing minute, Ben Woodruff made a game saving defensive stop to secure the win. The Mounties had 15 shot on net, and Tyler Adams had 4 saves in goal. Riley Horsch and Jon Duchaine each scored a goal and Jon Duchaine and Sean Kusch had an assist. The team will now prepare to play Ionia at home on Thursday.
The JV soccer team continued their successful season and improved their overall record to 9-2-2 with an impressive 3-0 win over Fowlerville last night. The Mounties were led by Rey McClurg who scored 3 goals. The team had assists from Jared Foote, Jimmy Kampf, and Dale Wahl. The team will now prepare for their final week of the season.

Multiple Teams · Freshman Volleyball Defeats Waverly 2-0


The Freshman volleyball team defeated Waverly Thursday night by scores of 25-10 and 25-16. The Mounties were led by Jaden Adler and her 13 serving points. Bridget Kerns had 6 kills and Nicole Keeder had 18 digs. All the girls contributed to the win and played well. They now travel to Grand Ledge Saturday for the Grand Ledge Invitational. Their next home match is Tuesday when the Western Panthers travel to Northwest.

Girls Varsity Golf · Girls Golf Finishes Conference Play Undefeated!!!


The girls’ golf team finished the conference dual match season last night by beating Mason and score a season low of 167 which is only 5 strokes off the school record set last year.  In doing so 3 girls shot their personal best 9-hole rounds: Kylie Gough shot 40, Allie Lefere 41 and Megan Rose a 47.  Dori Watts fired a 3 over par 39 to earn match medalist honors and round of the scoring.  Congratulations girls!  Monday the girls celebrate seniors Dori Watts and Stephanie Marvin following a scrimmage match against Napoleon, and next Thursday they compete for the league tournament and season championship at Hankerd Hills.  Good Luck Girls!

Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Boys and Girls Cross Country each earn wins


The Boys and Girls cross country teams each defeated Lansing Waverly last night and each of our teams lost to Lumen Christi last night in our only Home meet of the year. No other scores were reported.

Girls Varsity Golf · Girls Golf Defeats Western. 5-0 in the League!


Yesterday in a home match against Western, the Mounties moved their season match record to 5-0 winning 184-209.  Leading the team was junior Kylie Gough with 43.  Also scoring were Allie Lefere, Emily Hill and Dori Watts with a 46, 47 and 48 respectively.  Emily Hill’s 47 was a personal best for a 9-hole match for her.  On Monday the girls’ golf team competed well in the East Lansing Invitational at Walnut Hills Country Club in a field of the best teams in the state from all 4 Divisions.  Finishing in the top ten individually was junior Kylie Gough with an 88.  Also playing well on the most difficult course we play all season was senior Dori Watts with 92.

Multiple Teams · Volleyball results vs Charlotte


The Varsity volleyball team lost to Charlotte 3-1 last night. They lost the first game 25-16 and the second game 25-22. Northwest came back and won the third game 26-24 and then lost the fourth game 25-21.

The JV team defeated Charlotte 2-1 last night. Northwest won the first 25-17 and lost the second game 25-17. In the 3rd and deciding game, Northwest defeated Charlotte 15-12 to bring home the victory.

The freshman volleyball team lost two close games to Charlotte 30-28 and 25-23.

All three teams return to action Thursday at Northwest vs Waverly at 5:00pm

Game Recap
The Varsity soccer team tied Western 2-2 in double overtime last night. The Mounties outshot the panthers 11-6 but two costly penalties deep in their defensive zone allow two goals. One goal came off a penalty kick. After leading 1-0 by a Riley Horsch goal, which was assisted by Jon Duchaine, the team found themselves down 2-1 late in the game until Tony Fonseca scored off a pass from Ben Woodruff. In overtime, both teams had chances to win the game but could not finish. Tyler Adams had 4 saves in goal. The team remains undefeated with an overall record of 8-0-4. Their next game is Thursday at Mason.

Multiple Teams · JV Football loses to Eaton Rapids 26-24


Eaton Rapids scored the go ahead touchdown with 4 seconds remaining to send the Mounties to defeat. Northwest scored a touchdown on a pass to Devin Garner and a 2 pt conversion pass to Konnor Iott with 2:41 remaining in the fourth. Logan Everett added an 80 fumble return touchdown for the Mounties. They return to action Thursday at Northwest vs Lumen Christi at 6:00pm

The JV Soccer team improved to 6-1-1 on the season with a 4-0 victory over Eaton Rapids. Jared Foote scored two goals while Rey McClurg and Austin Duncan each added a goal. James Klee had 2 assists while Austin Richmond and Jared Foote each add an assist.
