Girls Varsity Track & Field · HS Girls’ Track Loses Close Meet to Coldwater


Tuesday, April 27 – HOME vs. Coldwater

It was a close meet for the HS Girls’ Track Team.  Although they didn’t bring home the win, there were many great performances.  Julia Warneck led the way for the Mounties, placing 1st in both the long jump and 200 meter dash & taking 2nd in the 100 meter dash.  She was also a part of the winning 4×400 meter relay team (Trenidy Halm, Julia Warneck, Taylor Grindall & Aspen Tapley).  Taylor Grindall also had a strong showing, taking 2nd place in both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter run.  Taylor also placed 3rd in the 100 meter dash.  Aspen Tapley led the way for our distance runners, taking 2nd place in both the 800 meter run and the 1600 meter run.  Aspen also placed 2nd in pole vault. Kylee Derby had a great meet, winning the discus and placing 2nd in the shot put.  Both Trenidy Halm and Cadence Schuette contributed by earning varsity points with a 3rd place finish in the 400 meter run for Trenidy and a 4th place finish in the long jump for Cadence.

The girls’ next track meet is  – Tuesday, 5/4/2021 – HOME vs. Pennfield  – 4:30pm
