The Mounties split with Lansing Christian on April 14 at Kiwanis Park in Holt.

#1 Singles Savannah Anderson – Junior – Lost in a tie breaker after splitting 4-6, 6-4.

#2 Singles Kaitlyn Fairley – Junior – Lost 6-4, 6-2.

#3 Singles Ashleigh Black – Senior – Won 6-2, 6-1.

#4 Singles Kellie Freund – Junior – Lost 6-4, 6-3.

#1 Soubles Victoria Bustamante – Senior and Kayli Shackelford – Freshman – Won  6-0, 6-0.

#4 Soubles Jade Sayles – Junior and Erin Camburn – Senior – Won 6-3.

Coach Catriana Carroll said, “the girls put up an amazing fight for their first match of the season.  I am really proud of them for being flexible and playing in spots that are new to them.  Kellie Freund is a new player and did a great job at #4 singles.  Ashleigh Black has been a doubles player in the past and has really improved in her new singles spot. Victoria Bustamante and Kayli Shackelford have won all three of their matches this season.  I know we will play some tough competition in the I -8, but these girls are working hard and learning every day.  I am really proud of all of them.

The Mounties are back in action on Friday, April 16th –  4:30pm at Onsted HS
