Jackson Northwest Varsity Softball starts the 2021 season with two victories against Dexter High School with the scores of 7 to 0 and 11 to 4. Game one highlights were from Katelyn Kennedy going 2 for 2, Grace Paliczinski going 2 for 4 with a double and Nevaeh Ingram was 2 for 3 at the plate. Cora Pilaczynski and Danielle Louagie both chipped in a hit for the cause.

In the pitching circle for the Mounties was Nevaeh Ingram pitching 6 2/3 innings striking out 12 and allowing one hit with zero walks. Sophomore Cora Pilaczynski closed the game for the Mounties final out.

Game two was a hit fest with the Mounties having 10 hits – six of which were doubles. Leading the attack was Grace Paliczinski with three Doubles while Chloe Cooper and Danielle Louagie were 2 for 3 while Cora Pilaczynski and Peach Kennedy also contributed a hit.

The pitching staff for the Mounties combined their efforts for success. Junior Nevaeh Ingram pitched the first five innings allowing three hits- striking out eight -allowing only one run while Sophomore Cora Pilaczinski closed the game with two innings pitched allowing three hits and striking out one.

Next on the schedule for the Mounties is Jackson Parma Western at 4 PM on April 15 at home opening up I8 conference play.
