New guidance from MHSAA was released on March 24, 2021 regarding spring sports. The guidance states that, “Beginning on April 2, schools must complete an antigen test of athletes one time per week. This applies to all high school and middle school teams with participants between the ages of 13-19. Those 12 and younger may participate and are not required to complete rapid antigen testing. Note that wrestlers qualified for the Individual Wrestling Finals will test the day before competition as they have all season. Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final basketball teams will need to test once in the April 2-8 window.”
To prepare for competitions returning from spring break and to ensure that we are in compliance, we will be testing all of our spring athletes, ages 13-19, prior to practice on Monday April 5, 2021. If you have already filled this form out for your athlete, you do not need to repeat.
- A signed consent form and participant code of conduct is required for students to participate in the antigen testing. Please click this link to sign the Consent agreement and Participant Code of Conduct.
- Click “fill copy” in the top right hand corner. You will be required to create an account and consent to signing electronically.
- Fill out the forms and click finalize in the top right corner.
Every athlete must have these forms filled out prior to April 5, 2021. Per MHSAA rules, athletes who are not interested in participating in the testing, will not be eligible to participate.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the details to ensure our athletes can play!
