Boys Varsity Bowling · Boys Bowling State Champions!!!!

The Boys Bowling team capped off a great year of bowling by claiming the MHSAA Division 2 State Championship. The Mounties qualified in 2nd place after the morning round of qualifying. Advancing to bracket play the Mounties had to defeat three teams to earn the title. In the quarterfinal match the Mounties defeated Grand Rapids Northview by three pins 1333-1330. Advancing to the Final Four, the Mounties bowled Iron Mountain and defeated the upper peninsula school 1309-1242. In the championship match the Mounties squared off against the top qualifying school in Cadillac. After the two Baker games Cadillac held a 9 pin lead. But in the team game the Mounties pulled ahead to stay. Brayden Metcalf shot 191, Shon Breslin 200, Damein Milliman 216, Ryan Wenman 205, Cody Hall/Troy Laird split a 144.
