Girls Varsity Competitive Cheer · Varsity Cheers Competes in the 2nd I-8 Jamboree-Article


The cheer team traveled to Hastings on Tuesday for the second league meet of the season. Coming off a strong practice on Monday the team headed into the competition with more confidence in their performances in all three rounds than they have had all season.
Round one showed improvement in powerful vocals and team timing in motions. Having tremendous amount of confidence the team performance the girls scored a 182.5
Our 10 girls in round two put out a sold Performance and worked hard to fix the little mistakes such as jump timing, crisp motions and pointed toes in our team splits.
Making 10 girls look the exact same and in perfect unison is the ultimate goal for round two. Round two scored 157.5
After having to rework some changes in round three the team was able to put a extremely clean round three on the floor Tuesday night. They had two stunts come down early but recovered and got back in the groove to finish strong. Round three scored 258.2
The teams total score for the night was 598.2 putting them in a fourth place finish moving ahead of Lumen Christi from the first league meet of the season!
Making our total score to 600.00 this season is what the team is looking forward to doing this Friday night at the Chelsea Bulldog Bash that starts at 6pm
