Girls Varsity Volleyball · Varsity Volleyball Sweeps Lumen Christi

The Varsity volleyball team added another win to their season by sweeping the Titans of Lumen Christi last night with scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-15.  In a hype gym to kick off the match, the Mounties came out and scored quickly with several consecutive points from Layne Sleight.  This set the tone for the entire night as the Mounties were in control of all three games from the start.   Mallory Anspaugh and Henly Sleight were in sync all evening connecting on 12 kills and 24 assists.  Brooklynne Bevier and Jozie Bontrager were also hot at the net adding seven and five kills respectively.  H. Sleight capped off the night with her seven aces from the service line!  Maddie Neitzke was consistent in serve receive while Layne Sleight recorded the most digs (9) on the night.
It’s always nice to travel across town for a fun, friendly rivalry match-up against the Titans and come away with win.  The Mounties record moves to 22-6-4.  The are off this weekend after spending five straight Saturdays in the gym.  They will rest up for a busy week ahead as we kick off the Mountie Mission Week in support of cancer awareness.  Join us for our Mountie Mission game next Wednesday against Coldwater, sub- varsity games begin at 5:15 with varsity to follow.
