Boys Varsity Golf · Boys’ Golf Finishes 12th at the Jackson County Invite

The Northwest Boys’ Golf Team competed in the Jackson County Invitational on Friday at Cascades Golf Course.  The Mounties placed 12th in the field of the 16 teams with a team score of 413 playing without it’s top two golfers.

Freshman, Isaac Anuszkiewicz, fired his personal best 18-holes with an 89 to lead the Mounties in scoring and follow freshman, Jacob Moody also carded his personal best 18-hole round with a 98.  Junior, Marec Sackrider and senior, Levi Mills posted a 105 and 109 to complete the scoring.

“Our two freshmen varsity players got a chance to show us a glimpse of where we can be in term of being more competitive in a year or two, said Coach Martha Cantlin.  They are really doing a great job.  We have a young team in terms of age and experience.  This year’s growth is starting to show.”

The Mounties will be in action on Monday at home to celebrate Senior Night and Thursday in the I-8 Conference Tournament on Thursday.
