Girls Varsity Tennis · Girls Tennis Competes at the Adrian Quad

Up bright and early, the Northwest Girl’s Tennis Team headed down to Adrian college to participate in the Adrian Invitational on Saturday April 13th. We faced Adrian, Milan, and Onsted.

Each fleet fought long and hard against each competitor, but the competition was tough. Pitchaya Sutthipunkul at #1 Singles was defeated in her 1st match against Adrian and her 2nd match against Milan before pulling another victory against Onsted. Freshman Savannah Anderson showed determination through each match, but fell (2-10) against Adrian and (2-10) against Milan. #2 Doubles Marissa Ralph (10) and Kaitlyn Fairley (9) showed constant teamwork, along with many great volleys to pull of a win against Onsted (10-5) and Milan (10-8).

“Overall, each player went out with strategy in mind, kept their feet moving, and played solid up at the net. I was very proud of their performance through the day and couldn’t have asked for much more. This was a great opportunity for the girls to get more experience playing against other schools before we face Western on Monday.”
