Girls Junior Varsity Softball · JV Softball Sweeps Western!

The JV softball team completed the sweep against Western with a come from behind walk off single in the 8th inning.
The Mounties took game 1, 11-4.  Sierra Weller had another strong appearance on the mound facing 32 batters and only giving up two earned runs, eight strikeouts, and no walks.  She followed that up at the plate going 2 for 4, with a single and a triple.  Abbie Sczykutowicz and Chloe Hinkley each had 2 singles.  Rylee Trojanowicz and McKayla Eldred each added a single. The girls got it done with only 8 hits but very aggressive base running.
Sierra Weller battled on the mound for 8 innings in game 2, earning the win 7-6.  The girls were down 4-0 in the fifth inning until Eldred hit a double, scoring Khrystine Weesner.  Then she was brought home by Weller’s single.  After holding Western scoreless in the 6th, the Mounties tied it up with Victoria Craft and Rylee Trojanowicz both scoring after reaching base safely.  After giving up the go ahead run in the seventh inning the Mounties tied it up once again with Chloe Hinkley scoring off of Reegan Trojanowicz’s is triple.  Western took the lead back in the 8th inning, then it was the Mounties time to bat.  Abbie Sczykutowicz was advanced to third on Crafts bunt but scored on an error to tie it up.  Rylee Trojanowicz laid down a sacrifice bunt to get Craft to third.  Then Khrystine Weesner had a game winning single, scoring Craft, and ending the game!  What a great victory!
