Boys Junior Varsity Baseball · JV Baseball Opens Season with Sweep of Western

The JV baseball team got a nice start to their season picking up two wins vs conference and cross town rival Western, winning game one 8-7 and game two 9-1.

Game one win 8-7:  The Mounties took advantage of a deep pitching staff, with Jaden Manser picking up the win for the Mounties.  Offensively the Mounties were led by Ian Weller going 3-3 at the plate.  Payton Garner was 2-2 with an RBI double, while Landon Balogh, Grant Quinn and Brayden Schefferly added base hits.

Game two win 11-1:  The Mounties played solid defense behind a great pitching performance from Adam Fuller, who picked up the complete game win.  Offensively the Mounties were led by Carter Garcia and Jaden Manser who each collected two hits with an RBI.

It was a total team effort tonight with each player contributing both offensively and defensively.  The JV Mounties are back in action Monday as the host Onsted in a double header.
