Girls Varsity Tennis · Girls Tennis Defeats Onsted to Open Season

Northwest defeats Onsted (6-2) to kick off the start of our season.

Each individual player demonstrated perseverance and drive throughout the match. #3 Singles, Olivia Tisch fell 4-6 in the first set, but rose 6-4 the second to push through to a tiebreaker. #4 Singles, Meghan Camburn played the longest match of the day, deuce after deuce, and was able to end up on top. Each of our doubles showed tremendous amounts of communication and partnership to excel through each game. While Onsted had to default their #4 Singles and #4 Doubles, Freshman Savannah Anderson (#4 Singles) and Sophomore Ashleigh Black & Freshman Kenzie Rowley were able to play a 8 game pro-set.
This was an exciting start to our season and we look forward to heading back to practice before we face in a Quad at Adrian College this Saturday.
