Varsity Male Scholar Athlete of the Month: Senior Ryan Crowley – Football

CrowleyFor the month of October, Ryan rushed for 188 yards and 4 TD and passed for 622 yards and 5 TD. Ryan accounted for over 200 yards of offense and 2 TDs a game for the month of October. This was a great ending to his offensive career. It also helped us win our final game against Leslie. He also played a key role on our defense in October. Ryan had not played defense since his freshman year but picked up on what to do very quickly. He had 2 big interceptions and made numerous tackles.

Varsity Female Scholar Athlete of the Month: Junior Julia Lefere -Girls Golf

LefereJulia had a very good season finishing with our lowest overall average of 47 and had an especially strong finish to the season.  She placed 2nd overall at the I-8 Tournament with an 86 and qualified as Honorable Mention All-Conference. She placed 3rd overall at the Regional with a 92 and played very well on 3 of the 4 nine-holes at States with a Day to total of 93 bouncing back from Day 1 where she shot 104.  Additionally, she missed several days of school during golf season and currently has nothing less than an A and has maintained about a 3.9 GPA through high school thus far.  She is a pretty impressive student-athlete!!

Sub Varsity Scholar Athlete of the Month- Freshman Noah Miller

MillerNoah was our top goal scorer for the season but particularly in the last 3 games in October. He also is not afraid to pass the ball and has a selfless style of play. He demonstrates great leadership skills on and off the field. He has a willingness to play in any position that is needed and does very well. He also has had to play the entire game on several occasions.

Sub Varsity Female Scholar Athlete of the Month – Freshman Maddie Neitzke

NeitzkeMaddie is a leader both on the court and in the classroom. She is extremely coachable and gives 110% effort in every drill and game. She is determined to work hard in order to be her best, and has a “win now” mentality. Maddie plays great defense, has an aggressive jump serve, and is an offensive threat at the net.
